Q: Why is my email not used as the sender address for emails sent by the app?

The sender email address will always be no-reply@edp-cdn.net to avoid the emails sent by the app from being delivered in the SPAM folder of your customers - especially when the emails contain some downloads. Our app email is verified with a very good reputation and is accepted by most mailboxes and that is why it is used for sending app emails. The email you enter into the app will however be used as the reply-to email address - it means that, if your customers reply to the emails sent by the app you are the one who will receive the reply. If you really want to have full control on the emails sent by the app (including the sender email address), you can use your own SMTP server through services like <a href="https://sendgrid.com/">Sendgrid</a> or <a href="https://mailgun.com/">Mailgun</a>. How can I enable download buttons on the 'Order Status' and 'Thank You' pages?

Without 'Checkout Extensibility' Feature:

Download buttons will automatically appear for customers on the 'Order Status' and 'Thank You' pages if:

You have installed the app.
The order includes at least one digital product added through the app.

With 'Checkout Extensibility' Feature:

If you use the 'Checkout Extensibility' feature from Shopify, follow these steps to show the download buttons:

Access Theme Settings:

Navigate to 'Settings' > 'Checkout' in your Shopify admin and click 'Customize'.

Modify the 'Thank You' Section:

In the theme editor, select the 'Thank You' section.

Modify Thank You Section

Add App Block:

Click on 'sections', then 'Add app block'.

Enable EDP App Block:

Select the EDP app block and click 'Save'.

|| Don't worry if you see a spinning block or if it disappears on its own. This is completely normal, and the download buttons will appear as expected once a digital order is placed.

How to test if my digital products are correctly set up?

Accepted Answer

You basically have 2 solutions to test if the app is correctly configured on your own store :

By purchasing your own product (just like a real customer) but with a discount code that you create for you so you won't be charged

OR

By creating a draft order like this :

Create a digital product using the app
Go to your Shopify Admin > Orders
Click on the top right button "Create Order"
Search for the digital product you created in the app and click on "Add to order"
Click on the button "Save draft order" at the bottom of your screen
On the new screen that appears, click on "Mark as paid", select "Other" and click on "Create Order"
On the new screen, locate the "More actions" and click on "View order status page"
If everything is fine, you will see your download button and you will receive the email containing your downloads (if you enabled the "Email Template" feature)

How to automatically mark my digital orders as fulfilled?

EDP can automatically take care of fulfillment for you so you don't have to take any action by yourself when a digital order is placed. To enable this, simply go to the Settings page of the app and set the Auto-fulfill digital orders option to Yes.

The app will also do it in a clever way :

If the order only contains digital products, the order will be marked as "Fulfilled"
If the order contains both some digital products AND physical products, only the digital products will be marked as fulfilled in the order and the order itself will be marked as "Partially fulfilled"
If the order does not contain any digital product, it won't be processed by the app at all and will remain as "Unfulfilled"
